Retail Displays for Houseplant (Canada)
A home-grown cannabis brand, Houseplant had a vibrant presence both online and on retail shelves until it's exit from the Canadian marketplace in 2021. The US iteration of the brand continues to operate with a different visual identity.
Between 2019 and 2021, I designed and produced a variety of POP signage and
in-store merchandising displays across all product SKUs, ensuring that each piece remained consistent with the look and feel of the Houseplant brand. The overall objective was to raise brand recognition in cannabis stores across Canada.

In addition to collaborating with vendors to create custom shelf displays and
in-store signage, I prepared all print files for production and signed off on all proofs. I also designed and prepared numerous B2B materials such as sell sheets and product info cards.

This shelf display was designed to be eye catching and highlight the distinct product categories offered by the brand: Pre-rolls, dried flower, and beverages.

All POP materials that required in-store assembly were accompanied by an instructional guide which included step-by-step instructions for retail staff.

La Canapa Retail Display
Display case insert with custom shelf and interchangeable, magnetic labels.
This display was designed to be adaptable to whichever SKU was currently on feature. It came with multiple magnetic decals that could be swapped in and out to customize the display, and an instructional guide informing on how to use each piece depending on SKU.

I created user guides for all retail displays that were shipped to stores across the country, since displays often involved assembly or required specific merchandising instructions.

This design uses the brand colours to create a tiered display feature the product. Knowing this display would be viewed from above rather than the front, I wanted to include some depth and interest to the base, including a raised 3D logo.

Spiritleaf Retail Display
Shelf displays highlighting the assortment of dried flower strains. This shelf display was designed to be scalable to the width of shelf space available based on store - larger shelf spaces included a diecut starburst element with additional messaging that could be swapped out as promotion changed.
